WHAT NOW?

A COHERENT MULTI-PRONGED IDEA THAT MAKES INCREDIBLE COMMON SENSE: WE WERE NOT QUITE READY TO ANNOUNCE IT YET...BUT RUSH HAS FORCED OUR HAND BY PROMOTING ONE OF OUR PRONGS OF THIS MULTI PRONGED ATTACK: SO HERE IT IS IN A BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

A: Continue to BEAT MCCAIN...beat him to the right by keeping the pressure up!

B: VOTE CONGRESS ONLY: send the ultimate message by having millions of Republicans turn out in November and vote ONLY FOR House and Senate (along with all their local issues and offices) but NOT voting for anyone for President. Domain names www.voteCongressOnly.com and www.VoteDownBallot.com are secured for this effort. We anticipate a massive sale of gear to make ideas A and B a lot of fun. You know, like clothes pins and / or dust masks for those who must "hold their nose" and vote for Mac, etc.

C: Start a movement to move the Republican National Committee apparatus OUT OF DC. Choose Charlotte or Nashville or Columbus....some city based on free enterprise and NOT on government. Think about it. It is IMPOSSIBLE for our interests to be represented by a bunch of young bureaucrats that populate all of the offices in DC..and that's what has happened. This movement will send a powerful message even if physically it does not happen. www.movethernc.com and some other web domains are locked in for this.

D: Formulating a new polling firm that gets rid of the ridiculous one dimensional polling we do now. More on this later, but this plan is confidential and we need to protect our intellectual property on this one.

E: This author is working on numerous books / websites...including "Tone Deaf, How Bush, Rove and the New Tone Destroyed the Reagan Movement" and "Chicken Gravy On My Tie: How the Religious Right is Self Defeating."...among others.

All of this all ties together the basic idea that our interests do not get represented in Washington for a number of reasons....all linked to location, power, arrogance and a lack of any real world experience among way too many involved in the day to day apparatus. And this is fed by ridiculous polls that measure base emotion but not any intensity of ideas or understanding of the issues. (can't say any more about this).

Stay tuned!!!

Some background notes:
McCain and all of these minions who have lined up behind him (despite the inconvenience that many of them don't agree with him on virtually anything) represent an inside the beltway mentality that cannot possibly be effective in representing what it is that drove us to elect them in the first place. Exhibit A would be the disaster of the congressional elections in the last cycle. That was borne of conservative voters not voting. Exhibit B would be George Bush's 25-30% approval ratings. This is the fruit of 50% of HIS supporters not approving of him.

All of this is the stupid illness called "New Tone" or "I can be a good Democrat too" that ravages far too many Republicans once they get to D.C. And this has GOT to be stopped. It has got to be stopped because once it is on the prowl, this muddies up the national debate and those who pay only marginal attention can get confused and do something stupid...like voting for McCain in a primary.

In anticipation of Bush losing in 2004, these plans were put together. His win hid the insidious problem that was brewing...but it is obvious again now. We're dusting off and reviewing the play book...bringing it up to date. We'll do this and we'll watch McCain at the very important (for the first time) C-PAC Convention Thursday.
