Why read / listen to C. Edmund Wright?

Not sure, but consider a couple things:

Rush Limbaugh did think enough of one of the author's articles to use it last second as one of the templates for his opening monologue of Friday, March 14.

AmericnThinker.com and other conservative sites publish his works from time to time.

Even the ultra liberal Raleigh News and Observer Newspaper ran a series of Wright editorials after the attacks of September 11th, as they had a temporary leave of their liberal nonsenses. They cancelled when the response was too positive.

The inimitable outlook and presentation style might best be explained by an ADHD enhanced sense of humor...an illness that makes finding car keys impossible, but does gives him the ability to pull anecdotes from history, politics, pop culture, the media, movies, books etc and connect the dots to make a complex issue simple and usually funny...and do so on the spot.

These are the authors ADVANTAGES over PROFESSIONAL pundits and journalists…and the underpinnings of the insights:

He has owned multiple businesses and had many other jobs and ventures...some 30 in the past 25 years. They have been of varying lengths, successes and failures, and in almost every field of the free market system including communications. Currently he has a handful of ventures going with some 75 families on his various payrolls.

One of this included owning an ad agency and PR firm in South Carolina in the 1980s. This was a firm ahead of the curve with focus groups, etc…and all the other principals were a bunch of that state's liberal elites...including the head of the South Carolina ACLU chapter, Speaker of the SC House, one of the nationally prominent trial lawyers / Democrat fundraiser.. etc. THIS was a key part of education.

Went from being cocky unknown volunteer to Communications Director for 1992 NC Bush-Quayle Campaign in a matter of two weeks. Sadly, could not overcome the moderate lack of direction from President Bush 41...or VP Dan Quayle's mis-speaks. Also in the way were Ross Perot's idiot voters, the liberal media and the Murphy Brown controversy. (Wright did have a strategy to beat that...and got it into the hands of Bill Bennett..but it was not used). He did, however, play an integral part in a victory of sorts...in North Carolina...a Clinton loss that was James Carville's only regret from that campaign of 1992. NC was the only state Clinton lost that they had counted on in their 20 state strategy. (they won many others, however).

But back to real life. Wright is a husband and father of 3...and a home school dad at that. He coaches, teaches, writes and laughs in addition to being hip deep in the free market capitalist system. He laughs at liberals, at moderates, at himself, his family...at Ann Coulter's writing. He does his best to defy chronology with basketball, water skiing and weightlifting.

All of this to say the following: while many pundits and journalists and others have been writing and pontificating for a career...Wright has been living all facets of real life for the past three decades...and these experiences have deeply ingrained the WHY of conservatism as well as the what, when, where and how. Besides, he doesn't have to answer to party bosses or editors.
