As McCain basks in Nancy Reagan endorsement...he tells those believing in Reagan Foreign Policy to go to hell...as he joins Jeremiah Wright on view of America...

Posted on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 03:02PM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright | Comments1 Comment | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

Doggone it…the election was just getting fun. With the media finally discovering hate from Jeremiah Wright and the hidden theory that perhaps Hillary is not always comfortable with the truth (sniper fire), the nauseating prospect of John McCain being the best choice was not so appalling by comparison.

But, with Nancy Reagan’s endorsement still warm off the presses, McCain immediately told those of us who believe in the Reagan doctrine of American exceptionalism to go straight to hell. Or to Europe. Or to the UN. And with Muslims running Europe by intimidation…and dictators running the UN via democratic principals (ironic, ain’t it?)…is there a difference?

We can only thank a higher power that George Washington and Ben Franklin were not so inclined to get foreign blessings on our own foreign policy. We can be thankful for Reagan’s understanding that the “shining city on the hill” did not need, require or even particularly give a hoot about the not so shiny villages in the valley’s opinions.

And of course, this shocks us out of the Jeremiah Wright and sniper-gate illusion that as pathetic as McCain is as a leader, that he might still win this election. Moreover, it aligns McCain’s view of America more with those of Jeremiah Wright than those of the party who he is going to represent in the general election. That would be, of course, the same party he almost left in 2001. If only….

But back to the point. We know that McCain will not campaign hard. But will McCain govern any differently than the lying sniper victim or the Jeremiah Wright desciple? Apparently, not so much. He gave a speech today on foreign policy that would have made John Kerry proud. Perhaps we should ask Joe Biden who wrote it. At any rate, we are fairly sure that this speech was not pulled out during the nomination process.

McCain was back in his element…lecturing conservatives on how mean and intolerant we are (as opposed to say, Obama’s pastor or the Senate Majority Leader). In a speech that made it glaringly clear that McCain sees America as nothing more than another country with one vote in the United Nations, he lectured us on having the “audacity of hope” (quoting Obama, not McCain) that our country can, should and must be the world leader on tough issues. Instead, he preached that we must seek consensus on these issues.

And not able to resist scoring more brownie points with the media, he managed to work global warming into a foregin policy speech and of course towed the line that the liberals will have us believe…that global warming is rapid, proven and America’s fault. Perhaps McCain will watch the Olympics this summer and see if perhaps China might be contributing a tad to the global carbon footprint. But of course, it’s the fault of American SUV’s you know.

And this slap brings us back to the sad reality upon us. We have a liberal running on the Reagan mantle for President…against two text book socialist-pacifist running on their understanding of the economy. But what the hell. It’s only for President of just another run of the mill nation with no particular place in history.

Matthews, rest of main stream media only portion of America not to realize that the "Big O" is fake.....a rushing of gushing over horrible speech

Posted on Monday, March 24, 2008 at 09:36AM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright | Comments1 Comment | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

More evidence daily that the mainstream media just can't get enough of Barack Obama on the stump. It's enough to make a grown man throw up. A couple of examples:

The Politico's Roger Simon, one of the staff ultra liberals for that site, pulled a freudian slip over the weekend by calling Obama's "base" the media. On Sunday's FACE THE NATION broadcast Simon said that "Obama really won over his base, he won over the American media" in his speech Tuesday related to Jeremiah Wright. This would be the speech where ordinary Americans, obviously too dumb to detect the magnificence of it, saw it for what it was; a chance for Obama to blame White Americans for his reluctance to leave Jeremiah Wright's hate-filled church. Oh, and he blamed his white grandmother also.
The great unwashed are not buying it, however. Obama's poll numbers continue to tank anyway you measure them.

Bottom line, he is now just another liberal black candidate....with an appeal not much broader than most of the historical liberal black candidates. Didn't Bill Clinton compare his campaign to that of Jesse Jacksons? (yes, Bill was trying to parse the events on the ground at the time....and he was wrong at that time...but it may turn out to be prophetic.)

Now, when the media isn't gushing over the speech....they are stripping their gears trying to change the subject abruptly. Chris Matthews, on MSNBC's morning shows....which means he spoke to virtually no one...just about had to light up a cigarette after describing the Bill Richardson endorsement.

Richardson, who garnered about a dozen votes nationally running for President on the Democrat side, endorsed Barack Obama this weekend. Yawn.

Richardson is a long time Clinton ally. Virtually a "Clintonista." Yawn again. In other words, this endorsement from the New Mexico Governor is a non story. Most endorsements are....and this one is not exactly from a hot politician with a broad footprint of impact. But to hear Matthews describe it...and he did so by talking about a letter he got from a woman who had a come to Jesus moment in a McDonalds somewhere when the Richardson endorsement came on TV. Right. This is almost as believable as the old retired grandparents who just happened to tape a Newt Gingrich conversation while out shopping for their not yet born grandchild in the 90s.

Excuse me, maybe I am late to these McCafe type McDonalds...but when the hell did they start getting TVs? And if they do, am I to believe that NEWS is on in a McDonalds? Surely this woman had a scene from "General Hospital" confused with the Richardson endorsement. Anyway, apparently there was dead silence with Richardson approached the podium and cheering and such when he finished his announcement. To hear Matthews wax rhapsodic about this, must have been as many high fives as we saw in the Jeremiah Wright God Damn America speech.

How stupid is Chris Matthews. Or more to the point...how stupid does he think WE ARE?

Obama nearly quotes Jimmy the Greek....continues to dig the Jeremiah Wright hole....Ferraro weighs in again angrily....the Hammer nails Obama on race...

It could be that I am simply, as post racial candidate Barack Obama would say, a “typical white person,” but I find the arrogance and irony of Obama’s “keep digging” tour today stunning. On a sports radio station interview today in Philadelphia, Obama further clarified the trashing of his grandmother by more or less saying that she didn’t mean anything by it because she is a “typical white person….who, uh, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know…there’s a reaction that’s been bred into our experience that doesn’t go away.”

Kind of reminds me of what Jimmy the Greek said about what is bred into who and what the results are. Come to think of it…I think that was a sports station interview also.

Meanwhile, liberal Democrat Geraldine Ferraro continued to be livid at Obama for comparing her comments a few days ago to that of what Jeremiah Wright said on many occasions at the church….saying (and correctly I might add) that “to equate what I said with what this racist bigot said from the pulpit is unbelievable.” Amen sister. Pass the plate. See more of Geraldine’s comments here: http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/03/20/ferraro-offended-by-comparison-to-pastor-wright/

Charles Krauthammer continued to be one of the best national commentators on this subject, saying today that Obama showed “incredible self righteousness” in the speech and further showing terrible judgement by “appearing unaware of what he did” by coming in front of the country and says this “is a teaching moment” and that “I’m gonna instruct you on what you did wrong.” Indeed. The Hammer’s take was on tonight’s Fox News Special Report…in the panel discussion period.

This is why this man is "THE HAMMER"

Charles Krauthammer, far and away the star of the Fox News Special Report's Panel....said that the media's reaction to Obama's speech "was rubbish" but they "waxed rhapsodic because it touched two liberal erogenous zones....white guilt and ivy league flattery."

Perfect. Right on the money. So well put. That's why he is THE HAMMER........more later.

CBS Poll shows that our website way ahead of curve on the Obama Speech results.....

While the rest of the media was falling all over themselves to congratulate Barack Obama on "the speech" about Jeremiah Wright, the instant analysis of C. Edmund Wright is proving out to be true.

Wright, and our website staff, was thinking this speech was an absolute bomb from the minute the speech was over. There is material on this site and on AmericanThinker.com from Wright that demonstrates this.

CBS poll out Wednesday night shows that 36% of people polled thought Obama made the issue worse...while 2% thought he made it better. That's an 18 to 1 stinky ratio. About what we predicted. Read what we said on this site and on American Thinker (third entry down) at this link.

We thank our good friends at AmericanThinker.com for giving our author a top spot among their own editors' blog.

INSTANT ANALYSIS: THE OBAMA "WHEN IN A HOLE KEEP DIGGING" TOUR OPENS STRANGELY....blames Reagan, corporations, everybody but himself or his pastor....ad nauseum....media fawns...

Barack Obama, obviously looking for a person as old, pasty and white as John McCain, trotted out Harris Wofford to open his Jeremiah Wright Excuse Speech.

Interestingly, Wofford cited a great conservative...George Washington....and a Republican....Abraham Lincoln....in his opening remarks. I would say this is off to a great start, wouldn't you?

C EDMUND WRIGHT'S INSTANT ANALYSIS HERE

SALLY QUINN ON MSNBC said that it was courageous of Obama "not to repudiate Jeremiah Wright, who is I believe 69 years old." HMMM. Wonder if that means Obama will be courageous enough NOT to repudiate John McCain, who is 71? Doubt he has "that much courage."

JOE SCARBOROUGH OF MSNBC is just becoming impossible to watch. I am proclaiming him MSNBC's Don Imus...without the talent. Like Imus, he is becoming more and more "weenieish" to appease his liberal studio co-habitants. He is boring, baseless and getting worse on a daily basis.

Obama to Talk about Jeremiah Wright, Race on Tuesday....Florida just says NO to do-over....Charlie Black, quintessential loser....

Posted on Monday, March 17, 2008 at 06:08PM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright | CommentsPost a Comment | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

FLORIDA VOTE? Well, I don't know what is going to happen with the 2 plus million Florida voters who cast their ballots in the Florida Primary....but whatever it is, it will happen as the votes have already been cast. Florida Democrats just announced there will not be a do-over of any kind. At first take, this would seem like a win for Hillary...who carried the state by 20% or some 480 thousand votes.

BARACK OBAMA will tomorrow make a speech on Pastor Jeremiah Wright...and perhaps race in general. Obama's problem was made worse this week as the new pastor of TUCC and the main body of the UCC in general came out complaining about misleading press. If Barack defends Pastor Wright tomorrow...that will be a big mistake (for him). I can't wait!!!

MCCAIN CAMPAIGN GURU CHARLIE BLACK is the essence of what is wrong with the Republican National Committee party apparatus, not to mention cross-purposed lobbyist and the DC good ole boy network. Besides, like Isaiah Thomas, he is paid big bucks to always loses.....more

UCC Main Body rallies to support of Jeremiah Wright and Trinity UCC....with claims of bias in the media. Huh?

Posted on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 09:28PM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright | CommentsPost a Comment | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

Well the main body of the UCC has circled the wagons around Jeremiah Wright and Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC). That's just fine and dandy. And predictable.

What is also predictable is that they have of course blamed narrow bias and political agendas as the cause of their embarrassment. This of course contradicts the inconvenient facts that the embarrassment comes from the antics of Pastor Wright himself.

Calling TUCC "a great gift to our wider church family" the UCC through it's website blames the media for "caricature and attack in the media" along with "misleading attacks on its mission and ministry."

Pardon me, but all that has happened is some video straight off TUCC productions has been shown on TV. Any caricature problem would be related to the fact that Jeremiah Wright is a caricature of himself. If there is anything misleading in there...blame the preacher. It is simply unvarnished, uncut Jeremiah Wright...with his own audience dancing and clapping and high fiving after his string of anti-white and anti-American pronouncements.

It is interesting to me that the TUCC never mentions the UCC main body on its website. Conversely, the UCC website seems to be an extension of the apology machine for Jeremiah Wright. And of course, it will be interesting to see how the UCC website now swallows and handles the information that Jeremiah Wright has been "un-invited" to help the Obama campaign.

The first "post racial" candidate, you know.....

Obama and Jeremiah Wright...Obama and Tony Rezco....demonstrating a pattern of poor judgement in addtion to all of the other unsavory characteristics.

Posted on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 07:07PM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright | Comments2 Comments | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

The mainstream media, seizing on some tepid comments from Barack Obama, is working hard to try and minimize damage the Obama movement is suffering as a result of the uncovering of the true colors (pun intended) of the doctrine and teachings of Jeremiah Wright.

As we have pointed out for many days, the tie between a 20 year congregant and benefactor of an independent ministry like that of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC) is a necessarily deep one. Folks who attend TUCC, and any of the large independent churches, do so for one reason and one reason only; they support the teachings of the pastor. These churches are pastor driven. There is no governing denomination and the resultant customer base. It is all about the pastor.

(In a technical sense, TUCC is part of a very loose organization known as The UCC. The UCC exerts no doctrinal control over TUCC and in fact TUCC never mentions UCC affiliation on its website...tho the UCC mentions TUCC a lot on its site. So if anything, Jeremiah Wright not only has control over what he preaches, he might set the template for the entire organization.)

In Obama's case, it's an even deeper tie. He chose this church for the express purpose of validating his blackness. Afterall, he is of mixed race, does not speak ebonics, and was the product of Hawaiian Prep and Ivy League schooling. To put it bluntly, there was nothing very black in his life...except the teachings and doctrine of TUCC. It was his support of this church and its teachings that gave Obama his black street cred needed to succeed in Chicago.

And with black street cred being of, shall we say, limited value in Iowa and New Hampshire...Obama was happy to be the "magic negro" and to transcend race as the first "post-racial" candidate. Jeremiah Wright was not a surrogate for Obama in Iowa or New Hampshire. In other words, Barack Obama, as we all know, is fully aware of the pastor's message and knew it would not fly in most places.

But, for the heckuvit, let's let him play his little tepid word games about how he does like and know Jeremiah Wright as long time friend, confidant, pastor and spiritual advisor but had no idea about Jeremiah Wright, the blatant and intentional racist, biggot and hater of all things white and American. I mean, Obama is lying his fanny off, but let's just pretend to believe it.

Which begs another question. If he is so absolutely naive and ignorant and out of touch with people he has known intimately for 20 years...and if he has gone so far as to hitch his professional star to such people...what does that say about Obama's judgement? You know, the "judgement" he bragged arrogantly about in response to Hillary's 3 am phone call ad.

Why the heck should we trust his judgement on anything if he can remain so clueless about some of his most vital associates? Understand, this is not a distant pastor who happens to endorse Obama...and Tony Rezco is not some unknown supporter whose name is on a donor list. These are the foundation stones of Barack Obama's spiritual and financial underpinning. And they are both dangerous and unsavory characters who are the antithesis of who and what Barack Obama claims to be about.

Change we can believe in, of course, is Obama's theme. Well, black candidates for President coming from spiritual environments that preach the anti white anti American gospel is not new. It is par for the course. Winning 90+% of the black vote and 20% of the white vote is not change. It is normal.

Chicago politicians being involved in shady financial deals is not change. It is standard operating procedure. The only unusual thing about Obama is that he is far richer and of far more priviledge than most black candidates. He lived much of his life in Hawaii....very unusual. And he does not speak ebonics, unless he is in some southern states and has to be shone to be "down for the struggle." And he does not claim to be a pastor....which is unusual for black candidates...but we're not sure that is all that much of an advantage at this point.

This is not change we can believe in. This is the same old stuff we should avoid like the plague.

RUSH LIMBAUGH SHOW, AMERICAN THINKER WEBSITE FEATURES C EDMUND THEORY ON OBAMA's PASTOR

Posted on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 12:35PM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright | CommentsPost a Comment | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

In Rush's opening segment today, he expanded on our theory on Reverend Jeremiah Wright and how central it is to what Barack Obama is all about. Thanks for our friends at AmericanThinker.com.....who have rights to this article.

So we hear that Obama is a "praciticing Christian." Well, we happen to think he still needs a whole lot of practice....as he has followed scripture perverting hate monger for 20 years

Posted on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 06:33PM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright | Comments3 Comments | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

As we heard, in reaction to the charges that B. Hussein Obama was perhaps a Muslim...or at one time had actually been a Muslim...that he is now "a practicing Christian" and has been for many years. Well just dandy. Obviously this was the media's ploy to whitewash the reality and to make the Muslim thing go away.

Frankly, after learning more about who he has been "practicing" his so called Christianity under, a little Islamic activity wouldn't look so bad. His longtime pastor, Jeremiah Wright, could well be the first pastor in history to have more of his public pronouncements bleeped out than would be necessary for a video of New York's "client number 9" in action.

As this site has explored, BHO is in possession of some very interesting scriptures...or at least very interesting scripture interpretations. You know, like his pronouncement that gay and transgender rights are part of the Sermon on the Mount. Having said that, such an atrocity is positively mild...and relatively accurate...when compared to some of the flaming f bomb pronouncements from the pulpit of Jeremiah Wright. (at this point, it might be instructive to mention that Rev Wright and the author of this site are not related.).

Now, before we get to all the pablum about how a candidate should not be held responsible for the beliefs of pastors who support him, let's get a few facts clarified in perspective. This is not a short term pastor who happens to be occupying the pulpit at Obama's church of choice. This is a pastor sought out and specifically chosen by Obama. And he has managed to continue to attend regularly and give generously to this church.

Further, this is not a main line denominational church with a staff pastor. This is an indpendent church...and in such cases, the CHURCH AND THE PASTOR are very much one. The church is simply an instrument of that pastor's ministry. This is how independent churches work. It is how they start. It is why they exist. It is much more than simply an assignment from the synod of a given denomination. I know. I've been there...done that.

So a longtime membership in such a church is inherently an endorsement of that pastor's ministry and doctrine. Dont' believe it? Pick out some of these indpendents....and go to their websites...or their services...or watch their TV show (many have them). You will see that these churches are simply the instrument of the pastor's personal ministry.

This is of course further strengthened by the fact that Obama gave 20 grand to the ministry in 2006. In other words, they gave as much in a year as many of their desired supporters make in a year. It is ridiculous to validate any separation between the hate of Jeremiah Wright and the candidacy of Barack Obama. Obama, and certainly Mrs. Obama, passionately buy into much of what good ole Jerry (afterall, we share a last name) says.

It's as simple as this....if it is valid to in any way label Republican candidates a certain way because pastors they might have never met like Falwell or Robertson endorse them...then it is 50 times a valid to link Obama to a pastor who he has sought out on purpose and generously supported for two decades. Further, when that pastor is on paid sabbatical from that church so he can campaign for you...that's what we would call a valid link.

And this is especially true when you write one book....and it is entitled "The Audacity of Hope" and that phrase was taken out of one of Jeremiah Wright's sermons. (expletives deleted, no doubt.).

So Obama. Bleep that. And Amen and pass the plate.

Ferraro comments a perfect bookend to Joe Biden's comments earlier on Obama: Dem fight continues to expose deep truths about liberals

Posted on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 03:01PM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright | Comments1 Comment | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

A pathetic, moderate "respectful" campaign effort by John McCain might be saved yet....as the Democrat party continues to wrestle with their own demons related to racism, sexism, affirmative action and other such things that liberals like to say everyone BUT THEM is guilty of.

I mean, this is just too much in a week where the liberals have already given us Eliot Spitzer's hilarious hooker gate as special "client number nine." Guys, it's a long campaign season. Please spread out your hyprocisy episodes a tad so that we can get the full measure from each of them. It's almost enough for us to forgive you for destroying our economy to save the habitat of the friggin caribou in ANWR. Almost. Not quite.

But back to the subject...Geraldine Ferraro. As some know, Ms. Ferraro was a vice presidential running mate for Walter Mondale in the 80s....a position she would not have had unless she was a woman. To her credit, she admits as much. Futher, she explains that she "was qualified" but that she would not have been picked unless she was a woman. I mean, for the first time in my adult life I am proud of Geraldine Ferraro.

And she uses that analogy in describing the Obama campaign to date. You know, he's smart, articulate, intelligent...but would not be where he is unless he was a black guy. And this is true. It's his "magic negro" appeal (reminder, LA Times description, not mine) that has taken him to the precipice of the Democrat nomination.

And it was that description given Obama by Joe Biden, in one of the rare statements he did not plagiarise, as he announced he (Biden) was running for President. You know, how nice it was to finally have a "clean, articulate" African American running as a Democrat for a change. You know, because Jessebonics Jackson and Al "not so" Sharp-ton are not so, er, clean and articulate. And it's about time the Dems had a clean articulate black guy, before America discovers that Condi Rice and Clarence Thomas are, well, clean and articulate.

Of course, the problem is that these clean articulate types just "don't know their place" apparently. And that dynamic is splitting the Democrat voters apart. Consider...this kind of cultural current is now netting Obama the black vote numbers of Jesse Jackson...but starting to give Obama the WHITE VOTE numbers of Jackson also. Last night, 9 in 10 blacks went Obama....8 in 10 whites went for the white person. This is not "change" or "hope" or even, well, very "magic." This is more of the same.

And this harkens back to Bill Clinton's statement in South Carolina....the one where he dismissed Obama's SC victory by stating that it was expected because afterall, "Jesse Jackson won South Carolina too." Indeed he did. And in fact, I handled some of his radio ad buys while working with some liberals in a SC Ad PR and Polling firm. Now Clinton was slammed for that statement...which he knew at the time was false. Much like the "never had sexual relations with that woman" statement.

Had the Obama campaign been like the Jackson campaign....Clinton would never have compared it to it because it would have been self evident. For example, if Sharpton had run this year and won SC....Bill would not have made the statement.

Having said that, Clinton might have been wrong factually at the time....but perhaps prophetic. (a little John Hagee reference there...). Because now...the Obama campaign IS morphing into something a lot closer to the Jackson Campaign. Which means, it is all about race.

Look...I know this is not Obama's doing. Not his fault. But it IS WHAT IT IS. He got where he is "in large part" because of his race. He may end up in trouble with the nomination for the same reason. That would kind of be par...or justice. It would be the self desctruction of affirmative action coming back to bite the beneficiary. It would be deliciously appropriate for the liberal movement to sink to some self destruction borne of their own fallacious policies and beliefs...as a result of their own hyprocisy.

Much like good ole "number nine."
